Stewards Report October 2025
Our stewards are #, #, #, # and #. We continue to ensure services take place on a Sunday, welcoming our preachers and liaising with # and readers and doing what is necessary to make worship possible. We are so grateful to # who is always there managing our technology and organising our music and order of service. So thank you so much #. We also thank all the readers on the readers rota. We are always there and welcome any feed back or comments on our worship and if anyone wishes to join the stewarding team or readers rota, please let us know, we would welcome any one who wishes to take an active part in church life.
Bible Study - September 2025
We continue to meet on a Tuesday evening although we had a little break in the summer because of holidays.
After the Lent Course we continued with the studies on prayer and then turned to 1 Peter which again is challenging. When this study book from Our Daily Bread is finished we hope to continue studying the epistles with another one of their books this time on Romans. Not only are we joining in prayer and Bible study but the group is also a support group so we welcome anyone who would like to come along.

Junior Church Report 4th October 2025
Over this year we have lost two families who have moved out of the area which has depleted the number of young people on our books by six. Which means we have ten registered of which some regularly attend but others whose parents have work commitments and therefore come when they can.
The young people have taken part when Dorothy has taken an All Age service and it is so good to see them willing to do so. Their lessons continue to centre on the life of Jesus at the moment, with the strong direction of allowing God to direct them in everything they do whether at home, school or out with their friends.
During the month of August we ceased to meet as a Junior church but they joined in happily with the Café style church studying the Bible book of Ruth.
# has recently helped them to construct a Harvest Loaf, which I understand they enjoyed doing and which will be displayed at the Harvest Festival service and will probably be eaten by them afterwards. But of course when-ever there is cooking involved it always is an enjoyable time. Also with #. who involves them in various crafts. And I thank # for her enthusiasm in wanting the young people to get to know God personally.
Once again I would mention all our helpers for without them we wouldn’t be able to run a Junior Church class.

Our central church in Strood hosts our weekly Sunday Services and Sunday School and many other community groups and activities. We are open to all and particularly welcome families.
Our recently renovated chapel in the centre of Lower Stoke. We have occasional Sunday Services here and also host and run various community groups and activities.
John Wesley
Each Sunday we worship and share fellowship together at 10.30am at the Strood Church site. The second Sunday of the month is usually a all age "family friendly" service. We have coffee and biscuits at the end of our time together too. All are welcome!
Each Sunday we have a Sunday School for children (school age 5-14yrs) that has separate fun activities during the service. On the second Sunday of the month we stay together as a congregation for the all age service (no separate Sunday School session).
Each Tuesday evening we have a Bible Study Group meeting in a home locally. This is a time of sharing, fellowship, and prayer as we read and explore God's Word.
The church building includes several halls and room that are available for hire. If would like to have a conversation about hiring space at PMC please get in touch.
PLEASE NOTE-:
If you are a faith group considering a request to use any part of our premises then the process is somewhat different. Requests are rarely granted to groups that are not recognised and therefore listed as a denomination within the Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI). We would need to still have a conversation and we would have to fill in a Connexional Foem (Form 14a) which would have to be accompanied with from yourselves - A Statement of Beliefs.
The form would subsequently have to move through a chain of Church then Circuit and then District for approval. This whole process will take a minimum of eight weeks but often longer.
At Lower Stoke Chapel our "Men's Shed" project is a group aimed at supporting older isolated men.
